Trump and Musk at victory rally (YouTube) |
Donald Trump had not even been inaugurated when he spoke at a victory rally on Sunday (1/19/25) at Washington's Capitol One Arena and made peculiar comments about Elon Musk that seemingly pointed to possible voting-related corruption. Sarah Jones and Jason Easley, of politicususa.com provide details under the headline "Trump Thanks Musk For Being Very Effective With Pennsylvania "Vote Counting Computers"; At his rally in Washington, DC, Trump oddly thanked Elon Musk for being very effective with Pennsylvania's " vote counting computers":
For a person some claim is a master communicator, Donald Trump often speaks in a muddled and garbled way that leaves his comments open to interpretation.
What he said at his rally on Sunday has raised eyebrows.
Trump was speaking about Elon Musk when he said:
Pennsylvania after that. He landed that rocket nobody had ever seen. By the way, China can't do it, Russia can't do it, or come close.
It'll be ten years before they can do it. And the U. S. can't do it except for him. And it's pretty amazing. But he did that. And then he journeyed to Pennsylvania, where he spent like a month and a half campaigning for me in Pennsylvania. And he's a popular guy. And he was very effective. And he knows those computers better than anybody.
All those computers, those vote counting computers. And we ended up winning Pennsylvania like in a landslide. So it was pretty good. It's pretty good.
Video of Trump's comments, with Musk beside him onstage, can be viewed at this link. Jones and Easley report:
What exactly was Trump talking about with Pennsylvania’s vote-counting machines? It is unclear. Pennsylvania doesn’t use one type of voting machine. Depending on which county a resident lives in, they may vote by voting machine, or they may vote with a paper ballot that is scanned in. Pennsylvania uses different systems to count mail-in ballots in some parts of the state that are used to count the same-day vote, and every vote in the state leaves a paper trail.
So it appears that Trump has no idea what he is talking about, but Donald Trump also loves to brag about things that he thinks he’s gotten away with, so his comments have raised speculation that he and Musk had some dirty tricks going on in Pennsylvania, but a manipulation of the vote count is virtually impossible in the Keystone State due to the diversity of voting systems and comprehensive paper trail.
I can understand Jones and Easley being puzzled by some elements of this story. But I can think of plausible explanations for some of the oddities they encountered.
(1) The Politicus report states that "manipulation of the vote count is virtually impossible in the Keystone State." But that does not seem to mean it is impossible. After all, Trump's own words indicate that Musk is an expert with vote-counting computers -- that he knows such machines "better than anybody."
(2) It is established that Trump does not communicate clearly, so it's not hard to imagine him getting his swing states mixed up. Perhaps he said "Pennsylvania" when he meant to say "North Carolina."
(3) Trump might have trouble with language, but he is a world-class liar. Perhaps he intentionally slipped Pennsylvania into the narrative to muddy the waters and provide cover for whatever Musk was doing.
(4) It might be "virtually impossible" to manipulate the Pennsylvania vote count, but has anyone checked to see if any manipulation took place? Has a hand recount, or a forensic audit, been conducted? Wrongdoing is hard to find if no one has looked for it.
Has anyone asked Stephen Spoonamore, a noted election-integrity expert, to look into what happened in Pennsylvania and other swing states? Spoonamore has done more research and produced more articles than anyone I know of about signs the 2024 election was hacked to favor Donald Trump. Have Kamala Harris, Joe Biden, or the Democratic Party asked for Spoonamore's assistance? Don't they have a vested interest in making sure the election was conducted in an honest and lawful way? Don't they want to know -- doesn't the country NEED to know -- whether Donald Trump really is the president-elect?
You can check out Spoonamore's work at his Substack page. You can check out articles I have written about Spoonamore's work, and the possible hacking of the 2024 election, at this link.
