Riley, Minor, and More

Updates on some recent posts:

* Yesterday's post, "Nothing Sticks to Teflon Bob," drew a couple of interesting comments from folks who seem to be on the opposite side of the political spectrum from yours truly. Issues raised in the comments merit a considered response, but unfortunately, your humble blogger doesn't have time to compose such a response today. But we will return very soon to the issues raised regarding "Teflon Bob."

* We've had several recent posts about the sentencing in Mississippi of attorney Paul Minor and former judges Wes Teel and John Whitfield. The sentencing hearing, which already has lasted one week, now is set to resume on September 6.

  1. Interesting that you assume that I am on some opposite end of a political spectrum from you. First, I don't know your politics, so I can't say I'm opposed. Second, my criticisms of your comments have been because they are irrational and not backed by fact. That's a non-partisan problem, frankly. Third, my bigger criticism is that you seem intent on advocating an agenda (very personal, obviously) and, like a shark, gobbling up everything around (in the form of rumor) in hopes that you can make it somehow stick to your agenda. That method of reasoning has left you blindsided by the facts quite a few times. And it's basically lazy.

But you choose to characterize it as "political opposition" as opposed to the fact that I'm just opposed to bad information. Perhaps you believe everyone, like yourself, has a political or personal agenda?
