People are fed up with this kind of mean-spirited political maneuvers.

How like the cruel treatment that minorities were subjected to prior to the Civil Rights movement. Those people also congratulated themselves for how good they were. History paints them more accurately. Here we are at a similar juncture in history.

Those who know right, but fail to do it roll a huge stone that clearly in time will roll back on them. Meanwhile, we write letters to senators, congressmen, and anyone else who will listen; we vote; and we pray that the wheels of justice will be soon be adjusted.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3669412675139526125.post-48877320064979886492008-02-04T07:44:00.000-06:002008-02-04T07:44:00.000-06:00A little noticed quote in the News' Blackledge sto...A little noticed quote in the News' Blackledge story is from Chancellor (and GOP gubernatorial candidate) Bradley Byrne:

"It's frustrating for me to see that we have a double-dipper who has been indicted on charges of defrauding the system, but we're still having to pay lawyers to fight this baseless claim," Byrne said in a prepared statement.

What he is complaining about is that an Alabama administrative law judge has ruled that Schmitz termination in her job months ago was unlawful.

Think about that for a moment. For the past several months, the actions taken by Byrne and the two-year system about Schmitz job was an issue about fair dismissal. From what I understand her administrator all of a sudden wanted to reclassify her job, then abruptly terminated her (think he got a call from the US atty office?).

Now comes Martin and makes it a federal felony case? Stinks to high heaven.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
