Ashley Madison customers revealed: Russell Byrne, IT exec at Bromberg's, is married to RealtySouth agent, but still was drawn to notorious Web site

(In the previous installment in our Ashley Madison series, about Birmingham insurance executive Scott Sink, I inadvertently deleted two comments from Anonymous @5:16. I found the deleted comments and have replaced them at the bottom of the comment list on the post. @5:16 identified herself as a female commenter, and that is all I know about her, but her comments were insightful, and I wanted to make sure they were published if I could correct my mistake. In fact, @5:16 raised a number of points I would like to talk with her about. If @5:16 sees this message and feels comfortable doing so, please call me at 205-381-5673. I promise to protect your confidentiality; in fact, you don't even have to give me your name if you don't want to. Thanks, and I apologize to all readers for the mistake.)

The vice president for information systems at perhaps Alabama's best-known jewelry and giftware store is among paying customers at the Ashley Madison extramarital-affair Web site, records show.

Russell Byrne, a high-ranking executive at Bromberg's, is part of the family that has owned and operated the high-end jeweler since 1836. Byrne is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hurter Bromberg, of Birmingham.

Byrne's wife, Stephanie Hembree Byrne, is a graduate of the University of Alabama (as is her husband), where she had interests in television production, theater, and the UA Young Entrepreneurial Society. She now works as an agent at RealtySouth.

Based on Stephanie Hembree Byrne's Facebook page, the couple appears to have two children, and they live on Dexter Avenue in Mountain Brook, in a home valued at more than $400,000. Russell Byrne also has a Facebook page, and he appears to be heavily into outdoor activities.

Thomas Russell Byrne (his full name) appears to have a lot going for him. In fact, he was born with a significant leg up on most members of society. But he still found the need to fool around on Ashley Madison.

We don't know why because Mr. Byrne has failed to respond to our queries.

Sounds like she's out showing properties, and he's out showing . . . well, whatever gets shown on Ashley Madison.

Have your sources dried up on all the Alabama news? I haven't seen a decent article on our Gov or Mason, etc in weeks it seems.

This is delicious. Bromberg's represents the epitome of Over the Mountain "class," and here is one of their own employees digging down in the Ashley Madsion sewer. Great reporting, Mr. Schnauzer. Now, we see what the upper crust is really like.

Oh, dear: What's Lord Wedgewood going to think about this?

Lord Wedgwood? Is that a real name? Who in the heck is he?

Lord Wedgwood (correct spelling does not have a second "e") is some sort of British royalty who appears in Birmingham from time to time at Bromberg's-related events. Apparently, his snootiness makes Mountain Brook hearts go aflutter.

Wedgwood sounds like a great name to be associated with a story about Ashley Madison. You can't make this stuff up. Hah!

I expect that it has been a few years since Lord Wedgwood has made an appearance in Alabama. http://articles.philly.com/2014-02-01/news/46874110_1_full-tea-pottery-josiah-wedgwood

Yes, Lord Wedgwood died in 2014, so it's been at least a couple of years. Here is excerpt from his ties to Birmingham:

Brand ambassador for his family’s 255-year-old luxury goods company, Lord Wedgwood (he occupied a parliamentary seat in the British House of Lords for more than 25 years) became a fixture in Birmingham, traveling to the city many times in his role with the Wedgwood company and developing enduring friendships. “He became a great fan of Alabama football games, and he became something of a good luck charm because when he attended games, we always won,” Bromberg says.

Here is more about Lord Wedgwood's ties to Bham:

While playing golf here in Birmingham in 2001, Wedgwood suffered a major heart attack. After treatment and recovery here in Birmingham, he was inspired to give back to the community. Following his recovery, Lord Wedgwood formed the Lord Wedgwood Charity with Birmingham-based business leaders to help place Automatic External Defibrillators (AEDs) in high schools and community gathering places.

Lord Wedgwood and his long-time friend and business partner, Frank Bromberg, III, along with Floyd Larkin and Robbie Robertson, created the Lord Wedgwood Links to Life Celebrity Golf Classic to raise funds. Since its establishment, the Lord Wedgwood Charity has placed 180 AEDs in locations in Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Florida, Virginia, Mississippi, Louisiana, Pennsylvania, and Texas. The charity is proud that at least five lives have been saved due to its donations and of the awareness it has raised.

Supernormal stimuli are a driving force behind today's most pressing social problems like illicit sex, obesity, modern warfare; even tax evasion. Our primal urges were developed eons ago as we came out of Africa to conquer the planet. Pregnant women with large, firm, supple breasts & broad hips are depicted in the artwork of all early cultures. Today's pornography depicts women with huge breasts & broad hips to capitalize on the primal urge for lots & lots of sex with women who can bear many children. After we left Mother Africa & it's endless supplies of vitamin rich fruits, grains & wild game, food was hard to come by. So, the soon to be White Man shed his Black Skin to be able to produce more Vitamin D from the Sun & he learned how to hoard everything including food, money to buy food & those women with large, firm, supple breasts & broad hips who could produce many children to help him grow & hoard even more food & money to buy the food.

Robby Scott Hill said...

As his woman aged & her large, firm, supple breasts began to sag, he found a new use for some of the money he used to buy food for his plump, but now fat & saggy woman. He started buying shiny things to attract younger women who still had large, firm, supple breasts & broad hips, good for bearing even younger children. This was a good thing because Early Man fucked up and paid his children too much. After earning their own land & storing away sufficient food, the older boys became lazy & were mostly concerned with finding their own woman with large, firm, supple breasts & broad hips to make plenty of babies to work their land for them, a racket they learned from their fathers.

Robby Scott Hill said...

Meanwhile, the older girls went in search of the shiny things & food the boys could buy for them. Before long, everybody was fucking & nobody was working, except for the youngest children who hadn't figured out the racket yet. This went on until the land began to run out & That's when lawyers & bankers were invented to take the sex obsessed, non-working adults' land & hoarded food away from them & redistribute it to the people who wanted to work. Even though the lawyers & bankers themselves were not immune to the primal urges for sex & hoarding food, that arrangement worked OK for thousands of years because no one banker or lawyer could work fast enough redistributing the wealth of others to accumulate too much of his own. There was a natural equilibrium in the economy until the invention of telephones, copiers, computers & electronic filing.

Robby Scott Hill said...

Being smarter than the average dude, lawyers & bankers figured out how to take everybody's shit quickly, including everybody's woman with the large, firm supple breasts & broad child-bearing hips. This is why you have 90% of the women sleeping with 10% of the guys (the lawyers & bankers), a lot of unemployed people & a lot of unemployed men in jail for failure to pay child support because the lawyers & bankers need all the money to pay their own child support. This is why lawyers & bankers need to be castrated if we can ever hope to get back to having a somewhat normal economy where every man can have his own woman with large, firm, supple breasts & broad, childbearing hips & be able to afford his child support & stay out of jail when his wife's once firm, supple breasts begin to sag. The primal urge to reproduce & hoard food & wealth is some real shit. If it wasn't, Ashley Madison wouldn't exist. Warfare, frivolous lawsuits, corrupt cops & judges, abusive debt collectors, they're all incident to the primal urges to eat, fuck & above all else preserve one's self today so he may eat better food & fuck a better looking tomorrow. I know I have been very crude & base with this short story, but I ask you, is it not the truth & the way things really work in our world? The lawyer is supposed to rise above Mankind's natural instincts, but this blog is a chronicle of not just one or even a dozen lawyers behaving badly. It is a chronicle of hundreds of bad actors & if they don't take you out soon, they know it will be about 25% of the bar appearing on Legal Schnauzer. That's why they're trying to get rid of you. After the way the bar has screwed us, I think it's only fair that someone is using computers to go after them en masse the same way they have robo signed & e-filed lawsuits & robo foreclosures on us.

Great take, Rob. You nailed it, in so many ways. Wish you could take this act on the road, speaking in college towns. It's the kind of real education that most students never get.
